Free Fire, a popular mobile India (BGMI) battle game that was removed from the Google Play Store and App store and has now been unavailable for download since February 12. The reasons for the removal are unclear at this time which means this could potentially be something else altogether?
In a surprising move, the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) app has been removed from both Google Play Store and Apple Appstore. This means that players will temporarily or permanently no longer be able to download or play their favorite game on any device they use! Though the Free Fire app is unavailable for download in India currently, players who have it installed on their device can still play. It’s working fine and there are no reports of anyone having issues (outside the normal issues) with gameplay or servers so far!
Is it a ban or something else?
When news about Free Fire spread in India, players were worried if the game has been silently banned. Some reports suggest that this may just be a technical glitch after updating recent update. In 2020 hundreds of Chinese apps including PUBG Mobile and Lite Were removed by Indian government and luckily Free Fire was not on that list.
With everything going on with the PUBG-Free Fire lawsuit this has raised a lot of concern for the community. Unfortunately, all we can do is speculate on what maybe going and hope for a social media post soon. Check back in as we continue following this story.
