Unless you live under a rock you probably know what the current buzz is with Free Fire. If you do not here is all you need to get caught up. The India Ban is Permanent.
Free Fire, a popular mobile India battle game that was removed from the Google Play Store and App store since February 12. The reasons for the removal have come out in recent days that it was a ban placed on the popular battle royale game. Free Fire and 53 other Chinese own apps where targeted in this recent ban. This is strange given how untouched it had been up until now, when other games experienced their own ban waves.
The next step of the ban is to shut down Free Fire’s Indian servers which was reported to begin February 16th. With this, millions of gamers and content creators will be locked out from playing Free Fire. Some content creators have stated that this may be only a temporary 30-day ban but have only been able to produce sketchy (at best) information to back this.
Lastly when the battle royale game was unexpectedly banned in India, shares of Sea Ltd (the company that currently owns Garena), saw a 18.56% decline. Despite the huge decline Sea Ltd seems to have recovered some in the recent days. For more information continue to check back daily for the most up today information.
